Counselling and Psychotherapy in Teddington

If you are considering having Counselling or psychotherapy in the locality of Teddington, Twickenham, Richmond or Kingston-on-Thames, I hope you will find this site helpful.

I am a BACP/UKCP registered Counsellor and Psychotherapist,(www.bacp.co.uk; www.ukcp.org.uk)and have been practising therapy in the borough of Richmond for the past nine years. I am committed to providing a therapeutic setting that is confidential and non-judgmental, where you can explore your emotional difficulties and any feelings, thoughts and behavioural patterns that may be troubling you.

My experience as a therapist includes employment in NHS Staff Counselling, University Student Counselling Services and Community counselling agencies. Previously I worked with children and families for the London Borough of Richmond-on-Thames. I have an established private practice and am experienced in providing therapy for a wide range of emotional difficulties such as:

Stress, depression and anxiety
Loss and Bereavement
Trauma and abuse
Relationships
Eating Disorders/Self-harm
Work-place difficulties
Family and parenting
Lack of confidence, low self-worth
Problems relating to identity/sense of self
Physical symptoms un-related to medical causes

My training has included a post-graduate diploma in integrative counselling and psychotherapy at Regent's College, London and a pluralistic psychodynamic/psychoanalytic psychotherapy training at the Guild of Psychotherapists, London. This combination enables me to draw on more than one therapeutic model when needed, to meet individual needs. I offer time-limited focused counselling (which can include Cognitive-behavioural therapy for anxiety-related difficulties and depression) and longer-term counselling or psychotherapy. Individual requirements are discussed during the initial consultations.

My practice is wheel-chair accessible and has free-parking for people travelling by car. For those travelling by public transport, Teddington and Hampton Wick train stations and bus routes are ten minutes walking distance away.
